Radon is a gas that has no color, taste, or smell. It comes from Uranium-type minerals found in our ground. Radon gets trapped in our homes through cracks and gaps that allow this gas to pass through. We then unknowingly breathe it in. Unfortunately, long term exposure to radon can lead to lung cancer, and as the #2 cause of lung cancer next to smoking, we have to take it seriously. I have found elevated levels of radon in about 1/3 of tested homes. Radon can only be detected by testing.
